1. Different requirements
"Rough turning" is the rough machining process in processing technology. It is mainly to cut the excess material on the surface of the workpiece. Generally, the product size,
Roughness requirements are not high.
"Finish turning" is the finishing process in the processing technology, which needs to ensure the corresponding requirements of the product's dimensional tolerance, row position tolerance and surface roughness. Finishing is mainly to meet all the dimensions and technical requirements of the parts. For semi-finishing and finishing turnings, the cutting depth and feed should be selected as small as possible, while the cutting speed can be higher.
2. The operation is different
Rough machining is mainly to remove most of the machining allowance on the machined surface, and the maximum cutting depth and the feed rate should be selected as much as possible within the allowable range. The cutting speed is correspondingly low. The machining accuracy that rough turning can achieve is IT12~ITll, and the surface roughness Ra is 50~12.5μm.
Finish turning requires a small depth of cut and a small amount of cutting. After finish turning, not only the diameter and geometric dimensions of the workpiece must be qualified, but also the surface roughness requirements are high and must be qualified. The machining accuracy of the finish car can reach IT8~IT6 level, and the surface roughness Ra can reach 1.6~0.8μm
