The difference between silica sol precision casting and water glass casting
Silica sol precision casting and water glass casting are both relatively new casting processes, which belong to lost wax precision casting. The difference between the two is that the binder used in the shell-making process is different. The wax of water glass is very soft, and the wax of silica sol is very hard. The surface quality of the mold shell produced by doing this is different, which leads to the casting of silica sol. The product casting surface is better, the dimensional accuracy is higher, but the cost is higher than that of water glass casting.
